Search & Searchability Seminars - Does Your Enterprise Pass the Test?

We have managed to get David Hawking, CSIRO to come to Perth on the 18th. The topic is Search & Searchability - Does Your Enterprise Pass the Test? This includes fundamentals of search engine operation; content, link, metadata, URL and anchortext evidence; interaction of search with content management; the importance of good URLs; types of search; enterprise search quality evaluation; query expansion; thesauri; document type classification; scoped search; security issues; XML search; and issues in searching email, shared files and database content. Case studies from a number of organisations will be presented.

This is a fee for event but thanks to OSIG and UWA costs are substantially lower than would otherwise be the case. Fee is $49.95 and includes morning tea and printed materials.
